Our fully licensed, qualified level 2 electricians have the expertise to safely restore all things electrical at hand, back to compliance, keeping you and your family safe.
In an inspection of your home or network, a defect notice may be issued if your electrical installation does not meet safety standards or if the electrical service main cables, brackets, or other fittings are deemed hazardous.
It is important to be aware of the dangers associated with defective work or wiring. Burnt out switchboards, faulty wiring and broken electrical brackets are all examples of fires waiting to happen. Don’t leave power issues to chance and have your electricity connections checked regularly.

What Does a Defect Notice Mean?
A defect notice may be issued if the insulation on your cabling is damaged by the sun, or UV damaged mains, wiring is incorrect or faulty, trees or branches are too close to electrical wires, electrical brackets are damaged, connection boxes are loose or if your fascia board is rotten.
The defect notice requires a level 2 electrical contractor to fix the listed defects within 21 days. If you fail to complete the required work on time, your electricity supply can be cut off.
If the work was completed, contact one of our Level 2 electricians for final repairs. The power will have to be reconnected and the repairs have to be reported to the power supply company.
Benefits of Defect and Rectification Service
Our services include installation of additional safety switches, rectifying damaged overhead or underground power lines, metering inspection, electrical appliance upgrades and the repair of other level 2 electrical hazards.
It is important to note that if an electrical inspector finds any non-compliance with the wiring installed during an initial home inspection, this may result in the disconnection of the power supply, damage to the property, loss of insurance and even injury or death as a result of an electrical fire.
